Hey,

problems have come back again in the door, and ive gone and torn off every internal panel, makes me want to go out and give it a hit... anyways... the door locking peice (button) is very tight in the drivers side door! Pissing me off and its stopping my central locking from unlocking that door (and in turn the other door - electrical is in series)...

The door-panel is off atm in garage, and because has been retrimmed have noticed all the plastic "waterproof covering" under the door has been torn & needs a change...

Does anybody have any idea what is going wrong with the motor/levers of the door? is there anything that i might have missed including those metal rods that join levers to lock mech. itself?

wtf is wrong with this shit... if somebody could answer really soon would help me save a lot of time...

thanks ppl... appreciate it

do you have an aftermarket lock motor installed, commonly the brass clip that attaches that motor to your cars leaver comes loose and causes this sort of problem..

if your unsure take a photo and post it up

there is also another problem, i am getting static interference throught the speakers in the car... what could be causing this? is it the wires being bundled up so close?

Going to rewire the whole car this weekend... hopefully have it done tomorrow... if not will have it done by sunday...

Thanks

loosen the two top screws on the clamp on in the red circle
make sure the bottom screw is tight

free the aftermarket actuator from the cars lock rod.

move the actuator in and out to see if its ok or seizing up,
then move the lock rod back and forth to see if the cars locking system is ok.

to do the above you will have to use a screw driver and make the door strike lock ( close ) as if the door was in the closed position, only then will the lock rod free up so you can move it. ( its a anti lock your keys in the car thing )

to realign, move the actuator in the direction of the blue arrow, then the lock rod in the direction of the green arrow. do up your clamp, and test

dont forget to unlock and open the door lock so it will allow your door to close when your done.

thanks ecu-man... point for you...

I notice another thing also, the lever on the door itself is actually broken on the door clip, on the dash side... The area where the screw is located is fine, but just to the left of this the clip that slots into the door to keep it secure has broken... time for replacement...

Anybody know where these are sold at a good price... How much do honda sell them for?

Found replacement handle on this american hondaparts website, and said for the "passenger" side door. Im guessing they match up with Aus-Spec drivers side doors?

Thanks
