Civic ek, eg???

i've been trying to research about civics, have been to many sites and even this one....but im still confuse and can't tell if the civic is an EG or EK.

when my friend try to convice me to buy a civic...hes talking about EK and EG model...and im trying to understand what hes saying....but still i can't tell the difference.

many sites either have too much infos or nothing at all


if anyone could light me up with this i would be much appreciated
