what is a better option for increasing much needed power from my stock ek civic(cxi model). Should I 1) buy a integra type-r engine fit it in, or 2) go for those Greddy bolt-on turbo kits? Price for type-r engines appreciated. =)

turboin in it would be much more cost effective.....but if you want real power from ur engine ur gonna have to work over the internals...BUT if you got the b16a and then dumped in the turbo system youll have one quick ek....

- id go wit the turbo personally

the best option really...is to sell your car and buy something with a better base to begin with ( civic vtir , integra vtir , ITR etc).

Face it , you bought a great lil car for economy and price - nothing short of alot of $$$ is going to make it fast.

Make it handle good tho ! front and rear swaybars , new light wheels + tyres etc for abit of cornering fun.

if u sold the car for wat u bought it for and spent an extra say 2k and got a ek4 then u wouldnt need to waste as much money on turbo or conversion. Turbo = a lot of work and money

Engine swap. Is it cheaper for him to swap for a b series motor. Or to sell it and get a whole new car? like an ek4 or something?

Why do people buy these cars with crap all power and then say, oh I want it to go faster now, and heaps faster at that. If you're willing to spend that much $$$ on engine swaps and turbo mods, then why not just buy a frickin fast car to begin with.

Sell it and buy a car that will have more power stock and will start as a good base for mods from that point should you wish to gain a few more ponies.

thats is very true... but then at the end of the day .. not everyone can affort to buy a quicker car .... like myself... i couldnt affort anything nicer.. so i m just tryin to get the max out of wat i have... and when the time comes... can always upgrade to something better... that way u appreciate the car more... and no matter wat u get.. there ll alywas be something faster and better...

its not wat u have that counts... its how u use it.
