d15 carb with vtec head?

Can i put a sohc d15B vtec head on a d15b4 dual carb engine? and then use a vtec controller to make it works?? that will be alot easier to do the whole swap and cheaper and get more power? u reckon?

Umm... a VTEC controller changes VTEC activation points - you need a the ECU etc to control the VTEC. It can be done - but why would you bother? Just transplant the complete engine (and add ECU etc).

BTW - it's been done in the US and compression ratios go out the window - you have to upgrade more than just the head.
