re any NEW FIT/Civic AWD tho?

most of it is in Japanese, but scroll down to where it says 'X4 1.7i VTEC 4WD'

http://www.honda.co.jp/auto-lineup/civic-ferio/type/index.html

mainly the AWD is for when its snowing in Japan, not really a power/performance thing ala EVO or WRX......but still cool nonetheless

That actually twigs my memory now...I'd be worried about the strength of the box, after a few mods of course....

Interesting nonetheless.

If the box holds up ... i would say yes.

You'd get a better launch out of it ... possibly better handling ... you never know really. never seen it in a civic sedan

the extra transmission weight and power loss will probably cancel out the performance benefit.

The Shuttle "EF/ED" wagon was AWD as was a JDM 4 door EF. I know of at least one in Sydney, sitting waiting to be crushed because it was bought into the country illegally.

This one is an "RTi" and looks to be factory spec.

Biggest issue is the transfer case, it's like the one on the shuttle, you thrash the engine and the case blows. You cant do any real perf mods to it either.

No mention of compliancing - I wouldn't touch it without it.

Oh and I thought they were just a 5 speed, not a 6. Engine might be a swap as I thought they ran the same 1600 SOHC that the Concherto did.

New Jazz/Fit in Japan can be had in AWD. Model codes are GD2 (1.3) and GD4 (1.5). Both are auto/CVT and are definately NOT performance orientated.
