D16A engines...how do they rate?

hey guys was just wondering how good the D16A engines are. does anyone have the stats for them? also does anyone know if they are VTecs? i originaly didnt think they were but then some guy at an exhaust place was tryin to tell a mate that all the EK sedans came with VTec. can someone clear this up for me please....

Mate do a search and look at the sticky.

D16Axx is not VTEC but DOHC.

None of the EK sedans came with SOHC Vtec, only the EGs COupe did though.

Once you open the Civic/CRX area thingy, at the top of all the threads there are stickys. They usually have the most requested or important info that you need to know. And he means search this site. It does have a search function up there in between FAQ and memberlist. Have a look and it will solve all your problems. :D

I thought the D16Y4 was SOHC vtec? oh well... thats what my mate has in his and thats what Carsales says they have. I dont really know.

Does carsales also say that the D16Yx is DOCH VTEC? Cause one of those sites says that the EG Vti is DOHC VTEC when it is only SOHC VTEC! *tsk*

ek sedans only came in sohc
only ek's that had sohc vtec is the vti coupe

4door vti's are sohc vtec not just coupes everthing thats vti is vtec to my understanding

coz in sydney...there are EK hatch SOHC VTEC, EK Sedan soch vtec, and the coupe...its only the hatch and coupe that came in the DOHC vtec...

and the gli and cxi for hatch...l think sedan comes in cxi..umm...

Please guys.....go read the sticky and post here if you are not sure.

There are no EK SOHC VTEC sedans released here in Aus. So if you have one, post a pic of the engine bay and show me the VTEC solenoid. Untill then I stick to my statement.

No such thing as a Cxi sedan
