HONDA WILL NOT ISSUE U A RED HONDA KEY.... RED KEYS ARE ISSUED FOR R's ONLY IF ORIGINALS ARE LOST AND ONLY SERVE TO OPEN LOCKED DOORS AND ARE NOT TO BE USED IN THE IGNITION.

They will however give u a black honda key like every other mofo on this board including myself. And pre 95 models will not need to be chipped, so its a simple purchase and cut job.

u can get blank honda keys from ebay and pay a cutter $3 to copy it for u... thats onli if u want the honda rubber on it...

Bought mine from Hong Kong a few mths back, it's a fake Type R key blank. It looks alright but don't expect Honda quality here. The same is aval on ebay for US$6.

Im sure theres somewhere he can get a honda key with the red rubber. Its just a piece of rubber, cant be that impossible. In saying that, i know sometimes it can be a hassle trying to source something as small and miscellaneous as that. But im sure its possible. Good luck mate :thumbsup:

Got it cut at a local locksmith, the key is no different to the factory key and opens all the locks.
