Srs light popped on last week, got it checked out at honda dealers and cost $750. Apparently the 'Control Unit' is gone! shit!! Just wondering if anyone knows how much they cost? Thanks!

Has the light come back on? Single air bag cars that have the option of a passenger bag also have a dummy resistor on the passenger side of the loom to simulate a bag being there...these are very common problem on 94-97 accords..Dont think i have ever seen a faulty control unit on that model..only replace the control on 94-95 accord if the bags have been activated as they have SRS-1 system and G-sensor once triggered does not return..96-97 have SRS-3 system.

I thought they cost $850 ish

the sensor does return. ( I chopped Up and old ECU ), I recon it triggers some thing in the NVRAM in the ECU to put it in deployed state.

yeh they cost about $850+, honda reckons it was either a power surge or just one of those things that happen... but oh well, guess ill have to fix it up :thumbdwn:
