hey guys.. all you DA drivers out should know that our exhaust system for some stoopid reason at the end in the rear.. goes from the right to the left then out.. so thats 2 more unecessaru bends.. has any one over come this problem by going straight out from the right hand side?? and also what type of mufflers do you guys have?? ive got a typical 4" tip cannon.. really gettin annoyed and over the loud sound.. what do you guys suggest..

I've got some Xforce muffler on mine which came from a mates 300zx so its real BIG

Yeah I've been thinking on going straight out the right hand side but I dont want the empty hole on the left hand side on the rear bar, a friend of mine has a Budy Club Exhaust on hi DA9 that is meat to be for a DC2, it is real real loud without the silencer due to the fact that it has no muffler! u get a good comparison when you have the silencer on and off.

The car im selling has a custom Hi-Tech 2.25 inch system with headers and a 3 inch tip i think it is. It still has those bends at the back before the muffler, but hey cant complain about the performance... $2000 worth!!

i got a shitty midas exaughst...i was low on money and i made a big mistake, if/when i get a new exaughst im gonna go out the right hand side and probably just modify my back lip.

just go under the axle and out to the LHS on a 45 degree angle.. seen it on EF9's etc and it is very good - u only need one bend rather than the extra 2.

pm me if you wanty and i can dig up some pics of an EF with this system i took.

if you go stright you will have less room to work with for positioning of your cannon
also there will be no room for an extra muffler or resonator

silly duffers, go to the left and straight back. but you will have to install a heat shield that mirrors the right.

Is there room around the tank on that side?
I took off all my heat shilds and its all ok

WHERE IS THE PICS OF THE TWIN LOOP ON A DA9???????

They actually fit?

SKREMN
24-02-2006, 11:21 PM
i dont think the twin loop will fit nicely if your car is dumped there isnt much room to work with hight wise

Thats what i was thinkin as i had a twin loop and not many exhaust
shops would install it as it would hang way too low.

but wanna see pic, ????????

ive been told that we are allowed to finish the exhaust pipe under the passenger seat due to the fact that there is no more windows and that the exhaust will still only leave from the back of the car... mite b worth looking into

SKREMN
27-02-2006, 06:03 PM
it has to be a specific dictance from the last window now much
having the exhaust that short doesnt mean its going to be any better

when bending 2.25" thick pipe, the corners cut off some of the diamater (except for mandrel bent od course) BUT having said that haveing 2 small "restrictors" on the car may cause 0.01 HP or something, and if u go for more power u want anyhting u can get.

...also it looks cooler :P

SKREMN
27-02-2006, 09:21 PM
if you want the most power you go for a mandrel system and that 0.01HP gain is pointless

Cold Fusion
27-02-2006, 09:28 PM
its not the initial point im trying to make...im saying that theres bends that can affect the flow of the exaughst, and it may be 5kw or it may be 0 gain, no-one will kno :P

yeh but wot im sayin is u wont have to worry bout that bend if u finish the exhaust system under the car

with a lsd in the wet you can loose your stering buy both wheels spinning
but in the dry it will make your car pull outa corners better and launch better

Cold Fusion

"people with really slaammmeeddd DAs wouldnt be able to have this arrangement for abious reasons" i cant see why i wouldnt be able to have it...that exaughst doesnt sit THAT low and i wouldnt get a cannon tip (or id be real rice and put it up in my back bumper and have it come out sideways :P

Spoon DA9R

i've compared the dc2r with my car.....with lsd is much better....thats y i m getting it...much better cornering...

i've thought about the black widow kit...but i think it'll be too much for me..i already have the oem kit...so i'll stick with that i think...leave it track spec hahaha
