yeah my mates say its not the hardest mechnical precedure around but if i stuff up somewhere im gg'ed..

the engine do-da shouldnt be that hard BUT im not really fimilar with the wiring and stuff.. could there be other things that would be stoping me from doing it my self ? like things that i wouldnt have .. like things that i should leave to the experts?

but ive herd that if ur gona mod both, a b16a is better then a b18c2... and i cant afford a b18c7 so i thort b16a with mods will be sufficiant..

its a gen2 B16a2 engine very quick and strong engine (110,000 kms on the engine)

that will inc standard extractor, computer and loom. also inc pair of front ek4 standard calipers and disk.

if im converting to b16a2 then is there other things i need to get .. and if u know the prices it would be a great help

lol it's only $400 cheaper anyways. If you got the right connections, can do it all yourself and everything goes smooth, yes it's always possible to get it done cheaper.

anyone correct me if im wrong, but..

essentially there are only 2 variants- B16a1, and B16a2.

HOWEVER, jdm only uses 'B16a' in their engine #, so the next number will tell u what car the engine was put in.

I know for sure that 'B16a5' is a JDM SiRII, so logic would suggest that an 'a4' is perhaps an SiR, or perhaps a Del Sol..(?)

Easiest way to check whether a1 or a2 is to look at rocker cover (if still original). An a2 has 'DOHC' in small letters, whereas the a1 does not.

all JDM SIR and SIR-ll's are B16a
they dont have numbers in the back.

the 1's with numbers are the EURO spec EG6 (as know as VTi )
and the other asain market EG6's
