It's usually called a half-lift kit just for your reference and so others know what you're talking about. Good luck with it.

without buying anything? i say get a hammer and get hitting.lol
well seriously ive seen a kit that allow you to mod your angle by justing turning a knob. looked the goods. this is a good mod not only for bling but u get a nice bit of cold air into your engine bay when travelling at speed.

probably a good idea to search through www.nissansilva.com and ask the 180sx owners

Its called lazy eye. And all you have to do is pull the pop-up motor fuses out for the left and right then wind them up to what ever hight you want.

the fuse box it located in the engine bay.

well if you pull out the fuse they wont go up and down when you turn the lights on and off. But going by your first post you dont want to spend anymoney. So this is your only option.

plus the kit from nissan silvia.com is useless on the 3rd gen ... i know .. the motor assembly is different to anything out there .. there is a couple of ghetto mods u can do so u can control them from the cabin but the best way is just to take ur fuse out and do it that way .. IMO the 3rd gen looks ghay with sleepy eye look ..

There are a few ways to do it.

you can modify the arms attached to the lights, which would be difficult and take time:

Or you can modify the switch to bring them half up:
