Thinner head gasket?

I see quite a lot of Honda's use either thinner head gaskets or they only use 2 of the 3 layers to raise compression ratio.

What sort of gains are there from doing this? And is it safe to just use 2 layers of an OEM head gasket?

Is there a ratio of say ever 0.1 CR, what % power increase?

Not enough power to make a difference. As for durability, wouldn't sell it if it were going to break. If you have no mods and aren't going to for a while then stick with OEM.

I am going to be sticking to OEM but thinking of only using 2 layers not 3

The engine has some bolt on mods to it, well pretty much all bolt ons but stock cams and internals
