Hey guys, some may know from my previous posts that i am i having issues with oil leaks..

i am pretty sure that it most oil is coming from the sump gasket but could also be very possible that the crank seal is leaking oil too..

i was just wondering if there is an easy way to inspect the crank seal..

tommorow i am going to have the sump off so will that make it any easier to check the seal?

is it just that plastic guard type thing under the pulley the thing i need to remove?
if so how can i do it/best method..

or is it more complex

cheers

best way is to remove the pully timming cover, timming belt and remove the crank sprocket and have a look.

but there are tell tail signs that its leaking from looking from the outside

build up of oil on the plastic bit and above the sump.

would you say this is a 'tell tail sign'?

also the plastic guard directly under the pulleys has a layer of oil on it and a lot on that side of the sump..

bla

:(

+ i dont recall seeing any oil on the timing belt itself when the rocker cover was removed.. but i wasnt really looking for any
