always heard ppl talking about it but neva really know what it meant, wondering if anyone is kind enuff to explain (in simple terms) what they are and include any examples?

yeh i wanna kno aswell since nobody answered me last time wen i asked...

can someone explain this offset business too me? it seems like too n00b a question and ive never asked it. lol.

i kno 4x100 means 4 lug nuts and i think 100mm between the nuts?? yeh??
wats +40 or wateva i also see??

offset, in lay man's terms, is the distance you want the tyre hanging out of the hub so as to be balanced. eg. Accord has an offset of err...+42 ?!? meaning if you were to get a wheel of offset +38, it might scrub.

...... i think that's offset. :oops:

yeh PCD is the bolt pattern, measured diagonally from the centre of the bolts if i remember right. Offset is how far off centre the wheel hub is, where center refers to the centre point of the wheel

its all in mm so its fair easy to figure out how much room you have.
