In an 18" tyre? That is really cheap. I am lucky if I can get a 17 for that price.

What falkens and kumho's were they? Ie what model number? Just curious as that is really cheap for any 18" tyre.

Terrible tyres they are.

Should be around $250 for something like that, el cheapo tyre. A great tyre will be around $450

$250 is the price u'd be looking at for 18" tyres (falken/nankangs).

depending on brand/type etc.. it'll be more expensive of course.

just got news that my 18" rims may only come in after a couple of weeks.

now stuck between getting a 17" or waiting for 18"

some questions to ask:

1. whats the average price for 17" tyres? for a 225/45?

2. my euro is a 06 standard. it comes with stock 16". is it alright to upsize to 18"? will it affect the suspension or against rta rules?

3. if i get aftermarket rims, do i need to change the nuts? there are lug nuts and lock nuts. whats the diff?

:o

1. Average price for a average 17" tyre would be around $250

2. 18" on a euro is fine. You're allowed to go 2" wider than stock i think.
wider rims=harsher ride.

3. Yes, you do need to change your nuts. Using aftermarket rims require the use of tapered nuts. Lugnuts are normal nuts that can open unscrewed using a normal socket. Locknuts require the use of a special key that is specific to the locknut.
