hello fellows,
i got my car serviced recently but my mechanic said that my distributor is rattling louder than usual, he said that i need to get it replaced, he rang aroung and got a price for a reconditioned one for $800 and $400 from the wreckers...
does that sound reasonable...? btw i have a 95 vtir ek4...? do i need a b16a distributor or can i just get one from a cxi or something...?
cheers

U need a b-series dizzy atleast, im not sure whats compatiable or not. Depending on what u need, it might be cheaper picking up a b16a engine/box from importer/wreaker and selling off the rest, lol. Or put a WTB on the forum, im sure u can get one cheaper. Importing one from the US is another option (ebay, honda-tech etc)

LOL@buying a beseries engine/box just for the distributor :p hehe

But yeah....its most probably the bearing and if you get a recond one make sure you get some warranty at least.

you need an OBDII B16 or B18 dizzy
you can use a OBDI dizzy but you have to modify the conector.
