View Full Version : anyone experiance a leaky boot in ek?

when i was checking out how to fit my sub in the boot today. i noticed water sitting in there.


the white clips that you can see inside the boot are leaking water.

about to silicone the shit out of it right now.l

anyone else experiance this

here is the white clip it leaks on both sides. ( meaning the left side as well)

i just completly coverd the mother ****er in sicaflex.

hopefully it works.

its fixed now.

the sica flex worked a treat. buit i also get a leak through the aerial.

put have to have some force from the hose. i doubt rain could do it as i have to squirt the hose upawrds.

For those of you that are getting leaks, is it mostly happening in sedans? Just curious. Also any particular years?

mine a sedan. mine is fixed now thugh a really easy one except for the aerial side.

i had a leak came from side window that the seal was opening slightly, mine's a hatch.

yeah silcone seems to work a treat. I found the black stuff works better than the clear stuff.

sorry to dig up an old thread but i realized my boot is leaking aswell, where abouts is this clip? i looked in mine and cant find anything i have an ek hatch

mine was leaking. i have a hatch though. replaced the gasket and it so far is fine. though now i have to air out the carpet coz it stinks lol.

i had it in my hatch, but my dad fixed it :S said something about sealing a plug

the driver side taillight. it seemed to be leaking in slowly and yeah i opened the boot one day and saw all this water in my spare tyre section lol :thumbdwn:

ohh so the water is leaking from the taillight? .. -_- thought it was leaking from the seals o well
