Does anyone know if r33 gtr brembo's will fit on a dc2r with wheels over 17inch? What kind of modifications would i have to do to make them fit if they dont?

I wouldn't bother trying to fit the r33 rotors, you'd have to find a rotor made for the dc2r that can be used with the brembo's, ie rotors thick enough so that the pistons dont need to travel too great a distance.

If you just wanted to fit the caliper it could probably be done without that much hassle using custom caliper mounting brackets.

I dont kno whether you would have to upgrade the master cylinder or brake booster to run the much larger calipers tho?

Unless your gettin em really cheap then i wouldn't bother, there are some great kits out there for dc2's that are proven to perform.

oh and it'd probably be a good idea to upgrade the rears too, all that power of the front brakes could disrupt the braking balance of the car

I can pick up a set of brembo's front and rear for about 1500bux. I was considering Spoon calipers but ive been quoted about 3000 for only fronts. So im hoping the cheaper and better alternative would be r33 gtr ones. My car doesnt have a huge amount of power but itll have over 200kw@wheels and im just looking at upgrading whatever i can to make it a good all rounder.
thanks for the help guys.

maybe get slotted rotors, better brake pads.

and paint your calipers red. makes it so much better ;)

its an average price, cause they vary from about 1500 - 2000 a set of front and rear used off and r33 gtr. r34 gtr gold brembo's go for about 2500 so yea... still alot cheaper then spoon calipers.
hehehe

there have been a number of traders on here advertising the spoon calipers for a lot closer to 2k, so perhaps check them out.
