hey guys my front indicator got smashed by a midget kangeroo, but yea it's all silconed up and put back in and works, but my indicator blinks real fast.

i know it blinks fast when 1 or more indicators are not working, but all 6 are working..

whats the problem? could it be the bulb is incorrect voltage?

Check your wiring connections are clean and secure, otherwise your flasher unit(under dashboard) could be fried if it shorted out the wire.

Just a thought...

ive heard sometimes it could be a faulty/stuffed relay... worth a check

It actually means that one of your bulbs is going to blow fairly soon. The resistance of the filament in the globe changes as it gets closer to burning out which changes how fast the indicator relay switches on and off. Same effect would happen if you put the wrong spec globe in.. wait a little while and one of your indicators will blow, guaranteed.

thanks for the input guys, but i ran a check with my old bulb and the old one is huge! it's 12V and 21W, the one i bought is 12V but 5W.. just a little bit of difference.. :p i knew i should have tried repco or super cheap rather than a servo.. i swear it was the biggest one they had!

so does that mean that it will blow? i decided to change both front indicator bulbs so it's even

no they wont blow, the reason it was blinking faster was because of the different wattage, ( different load on the relay causing it to work differently )

would there be any problems with getting a pink slip if the indicators are flashing like crazy?

Yes, nomrally a mechanic queries why the would flash crazy. You must have the correct wattage bulb(or higher but not recommended) as per OEM. Anything that is not bright enough fails a visual inspection.
