Hey guys, anyone had there CV joints replaced recently. I just wanna know roughly how much, ive heard it can be very very pricey. But anyways, mine has got to the point where it cannot be driven. Any help appreciated, plus any trusted mechanics/workshops to replace in the newcastle area.

cheers

**EDIT** just need the right hand one

I had my inner CV joint and axel on my passenger side replaced for abit under $200.. Not too sure whether you guys find that a good price but my mechanic charged me the least amount he could.. He's a family friend.

I'm in perth so i cant really recommend you to anyone.. Good luck!

Located in Newcastle NSW. I have heard stories of $500+ just for one. Would you say it can be replaced easily myself if i got the part. Or do i need tricky tools and such?

some times there easy, some times there a big pain in the ass, you just dont know what to expect when you go to do them.
