hey pplz i have a b16 1st gen 58mm throttle body, im putting it on a d16y4 from what i see the throttle body will bolt on alright, but there is no hole for the sensor atop the b16 tb, has anyone else done this kind of conversion that could guide me to where abouts sensors and hoses that will be moved/modified

thanks for any help

yeh. the reason why this is they were mounted on the firewall. Just put ur stock TB back on and sell it on ebay and buy something bolton.

Otherwise u will need to get a map sensor that mounts on the firewall.

ON the t/b there will be a little nipple.

on your stock t/b take off your map sensor and you will see it has a little nipple on it also. Run a peice of rubber tube from the nipple on the t/b to the stock map sensor, then zip tie it somewhere. Looks ghetto but it works. A friend has done it this way on his Eg5/Eg6 Hybrid.

what type of advantages do you get from a t/b upgrade?

any downsides to this type of upgrade?

better throttle response, maybe a lil torque .. but yeah , more instant power delivery .

it mite use a lil more petrol , but from what i heard its pretty much un noticable .

i plan to bore my TB in the next few weeks .
