Hey guys,

I've been thinking about importing an S2000 from Jap. But i dont even know where to start. Would it be worth importing or just get AUDM S2000. I know that the JDM has the VGS, DVD sat nav, and 184KW. But i'm not sure if it would be worth the hassle of getting the car over here. Besides Is VGS even ADR Aproved here in aus? Also how much am i looking at and the length of time i should look at.

All the help would be apreciated. I really like the VGS and DVD Sat Nav so yeah Power isnt that much different than here so. yeah.

Thanks in advance guys.

Have you owned the vehicle for more than 1 year overseas?

^^ what he said ... if your gonna get a car from there you would need to bring it as a personal import ... which means you have to own the car for more than a year over seas

just like the ek9 etc...

correct me if im wrong :)

You're not wrong.

Follow this flow chart, and see if you can squeeze it through.

It MIGHT meet some of these criteria.

BUT it will NEVER get the 18 month period waived by honda...

basically, in plain english... Unless you've owned the vehicle for more than 12 months in Japan, and you intend on bringing it back with you to Australia, there is no way to import it.

... well, I pointed out the actual way that they choose to classify whether or not it's importable, and you asked for plain english translation ..

yeah, the only way is if you actually own the vehicle first. really.

Question answered

You cannot Import an S2000 into Australia before owning it overseas for 12 months as it does not meet SEVS Compliance requirements.
