Honda CRX Gearbox Removal HELP!!!!

After removing all the gearbox mounting bolts, that hold it onto the bell housing, the gearbox can then be lifted up slightly but then seems to 'stop'.

Are there any other clips or anything else that needs to be detached to allow the gearbox to be fully lifted off??

Any help appreciated!

You have to take all the bolts mentioned there off (including the starter motor).

After that you have to tap the gearbox loose to get it to seperate from the block. Then you can 'shimmy' it out bit by bit.

Ok just re-read your post. Have you got the gearbox out and now trying to open up the gearbox?

If it 'stops' after you've taken all the bolts around the clutch housing off......you need to get the snap ring off..........its under step 26 in that post.
