Hey guys, i have a pretty much stock Si, 93 lude, with a magnaflow muffler, and no resonator on stock pipes.

I was wondering what size piping would be ideal from the cat back to the muffler? Would it be worth it?

Do i have to have any resonators in there?

And what do u guys reckon the best price i could have this done?

Thanks

William

A 60mm mandrel bend system will do you good for that engine size... What model MagnaFlow muffler do you have? What is the inlet size?

Running no resonators in the exhaust will make the interior of the car drone too much IMO..

Lastly :)... Where are you based ?

http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/parts/14815.jpg

Double Wall, Straight Cut
2.25" Inlet, 3" Diam. Tips
6.5" Tip Length
5" x 8" Oval Body
14" Muffler Body Length

Thats my muffler, the muffler doesnt drone at the moment with no resonator?
Im in Melbourne

Sounds great, and i only have stock piping, nice and deep bellow when i accelerate, not raspy! And its only slightly louder on the freeway, so ive been really happy with it.

Really nice mufflers, i saw one on a friends prelude and had to have one, came with lifetime warranty!

And yes its a straight through design;)

Yeah its true, i copied u!

But yeah its great quality, sound and i swear with only the muffler and stock pipes i could still feel a big difference in power from the old muffler.

The magnaflow muffers alone retail for around $400 ish....

so all depends on what pipe you wanna use and what bend....it could go up to $700 odd just for cat-back.....

but they do sound really nice...

Anyone know where you can get a magnaflow muffler in Brisbane?

Ask your local exhaust shop mate, would be the best way.

- yeah they are expensive, but this is for a reason. Made in the USA, they're very popular on Honda-tech.

Hey so back to me? Is a 2.5 mandrel bend sound right? Or is it 2.25?

will....id go the 2.25" man....next meet we'll compare exhaust sounds and you can hear the diff that changing the pipe might make....thats if you dont mind waiting awhile coz i dunno when the next meet is to be honest
