hey guys and girls.

ive got a civic wit an eg6 b16 in it. wen im changing down gears while slowing down, while im letting the clutch out (noticed more wen letting out slowly) it makes a scraping sort of noise, which is probly the best best way i can describe it. im gonna try and get in to the guy that does my clutches and stuff during the wk but was just wondering if anybody may have an idea or have experienced it b4?? im thinking the clutch would prob just need replacing, but if anybody thinks it might be something else, please say wat u think it is if u hav any ideas....

all help appreciated!!

bit of a hard one, to say exactly what it is.

could be
ISB,
thrust bearing
pressure plate,

I would more say ISB if your getting it in lower gears.

if you end up pulling the box out, have the ISB changed for peice of mind.

oh thanks, i didnt even think of those.. yeh, i might just get it out and replace clutch, isb and thrust bearing.. then they all done, and hopefully whatever the prob was should be solved!

How is your clutch fluid level, above MIN?

ha yeh it is.. i have checked that!

edit: just had a read of the gearbox faq and it seems more like it would be thrust bearing.. cos i only hear it wen ive got the clutch in
