Hey guys i was looking into a helical LSD for my D16y1, i was wondering would all D series be interchangeable? or would every model have one for itself eg... Gl, Gli, Vti, VEi, Si, etc etc... or would some only be partially interchangeable eg.. one for gl and gli, one for Vti and one for si? please let me know asap and your thoughts / reccommendations

same stuff but D series drivershafts are not fully interchangeable and the diff housing is slightly different sizes etc - Example , Si + vti have same series gearbox but drivershafts are different thickness spline and different design (si is 2 shaft + midshaft and vti is 2 x long shafts)

there are a variation in the bearing diameter between some of the d series gearboxes as well. A d series diff isn't a d series diff. There are differences that you need to account for(main one being the diameter of the bearing... I believe some trannies use a 38mm bearing, some use a 40-42mm bearing.)

so therefore besides pulling the drive shafts apart and box

is there another way of telling?for eg. vin/chassis or number of something?
