im thinking ill either update my car or do sumthing wild to it...still needs to be a family car, driven everyday.so im leaning towards either turbo or supercharge,my car has near 200km so it will need a rebuild, but which is the best for my car?
how will each setup perform?
wot will be needed?
wot would the cost be?
i understand its prolly been posted a zillion times so this is a zillion and one..
any help would be appreciated....otherwise i sell the old girl and buy a v6 sonata...

Tuning the v6 auto will be the biggest problem !! the std computer will not read boost, and there is very little options you can use on a automatic transmission. You could wire in parallel a Motec or Autronic ECU but the standard Honda ECU will get confused with reading positive boost pressure and keeping the gear box synchronized, you could use a check valve to fool the boost side of things but operating the gear box is near impossible. Manual conversion + turbo charge, or sell it ;)

its not simple. checkout honda-tech though as there are a few guys who have turbocharged them.
V8 is more involved on the piping side of things. a piggyback computer will take care of everything ont he ECU/auto side. Just make sure u run a nice big tranny cooler and keep the boost low, because auto's dont like the extra heat/power.

any peformance shop can help u out with a turo conversion. id say on a V6, ur looking at atleast 6k-10k driveaway. tranny coolers are cheap and easy to install. its not hard.

i own a 99 CG accord 4 CYL AUTO, i was enquiring about a turbo conversion a few months ago and i contacted J-SPEC they seemed to know wat they are talking about and assured me that everything could be done they quoted me around 4 K drive away...give J-spec a go...

J-spec who are they how can i contact them...how much more power do you think i would be looking at getting out of my car with just a low blown turbo setup...and what are my chances on increasing it without much trouble from my shitty auto box

AFAIK, one of the forums from america sell the "tougher" tranny for this model.. you might try to import it from US. But shipping might be costly ... and at the end.. would be better to sell the car and get something with more power..
