The drain bolt? 17mm.

its supposed to be - but occasionally the thread has been retapped and a larger bolt resides :)

Still , with a adjustable spanner you should be fine. Dont over tighten it when re-applying and dont forget a new crush washer.

Instead of the drain bolt, u can buy a tap like dispencer that allows u to drain oil via a push of the switch/flap.

Isnt that a better way than the drain bolt?

wtf ive never heard of those, sounds handy tho - i want one :)
But with 4L of pressure it would probably leak after a while...

what if ur car hits something and it pushes the switch itself ?

LOL I was thinking that too.

...then hopefully you will notice the oil light come on and shut the engine off before driving with no oil

that valve thing is a good idea in theory...but its proven to be a pain and likely to stuff up. (check on a few US based sites) You dont want a small twig hitting and loosing all ur oil and then your engine in a matter of seconds , do u ?
