If you don't want to lose any range get 4-2-1 extractors and probably 2.1/4" piping.

I think it's something like 1 1/4 " piping, then if you are wanting a cannon get a 3" tip. But the others on here will know for sure.

i think you mean 2 1/4" .....but that could be too big maybe go for 2"?

Lol yeh 2 1/4" sorry, you can go 2" if you want. I have 2 1/4 on mine and from what I have seen that is what most people have. 2 1/2" is too big.

do you want specific brands? in any case if you want to achieve more power from mods it'll be more cost effective to save up and least buy a b16a swap. my $.02

Get 2" mandrel bent if you dont want to lose low end power

Get 2" 1/4 if you want a bit more in the top end revs and a little
less down low.

nah, definately get 2" mandrel bent. 2 1/4" will mean you will lose response and also low end torque

well if your running people i reckon option #2 would be best, once you get off the line your pretty much at high revs the rest of the way ... probably best

dunno

what are the power differences with the 2" and 2.25" ??

what are the adv and disadv for both ??

2" you will increase you bottom and midrange (will sacrifice top end).

2.25" you will increase your mid and top (will sacrifice bottom end).

You wont feel much of a diff if your just going cat-back. I got a 2.25" on my EK4 and felt like i had gained a bit in the upper rpms and lost a little down low....but thats how i like it....so i dont mind at all...

for a muffler look into a a magnaflow oval straight through. cheap, looks like stock and sounds nice. if you want to quiet things down you at least ask for a 22"-24" resonator in the piping.

for street i would definately recommend 2 inch mandrel bent and nothing more.
your car will be driven on the street 99% of the time, so a majority of your driving will be in mid range rpm. Also you will be taking off from a standing start alot. So its important to have decent low to mid range response.
Your car has a 1.6L ZC engine so its not like its got much torque to start off with, going too big, you will sacrifice the low end torque, and with 2 inch piping, you won't be sacrificing any top end performance.

going to 2.25inch is even more of an overkill if you are only going cat back.

having said that, regardless of what you are getting, be it 2inch or 2.25inch pipe, you probably won't feel the difference. At the end of the day, get what you feel comfortable with, cos no use getting 2 inch, when a week later u wonder what 2.25 inch would have been like.

also, if you can afford it, always get japanese branded stuff. its much better quality and design over the locally made custom stuff.

Chris...

p.s. 2.25 inch will be louder and more droning too.
