Hey guys is it possible to directly bolt on a remus exhaust from cat-back which was off an ek4 on my ek1?
Cheers

There are a few things, what sort of ek1 do you have: hatch or sedan? Also I assume that when you say an ek4 you mean off a hatch?

I dont think it will be a direct bolt on as I am pretty sure that the ek4 used bigger exhaust piping. It really depends on if flanges were used and what size they are.

i recommend 2&1/4" b pipe with x force muffler with 4" opening

should bolt on but if the ek4 had a 12 fin cat then it wouldnt due to the different lengths of cats (ek1 6fin) might fit i havent tried tho

the catback won't be straight fit. the cat sizes on the ek4 and ek1 are different. But if you can get your hands onto a ek4 cat with the catback, it'll be straight bolt on.

note. the fins his talking about is on the cat, i believe he was just using them as a reference to the length.

Is the stock ek1 b pipe the same as the stock ek4 b pipe?
ie can i use the stock ek1 b pipe on the stock ek4 cat and ek4 axle back?
Cheers

I dont think it will be a direct bolt on as I am pretty sure that the ek4 used bigger exhaust piping.

is this confirmed?

is this confirmed?

I have never tried it, but from what I understand the ek4 uses bigger exhaust piping to accomodate the b16.

EK4 stock piping 2inches... EK1 stock piping is 1.75inches or thereabouts.... which would necessarly mean the flanges on the two pipes differ as well.

You won't know until you hoise the car up... so hoist her up!

That being said, you could always put a transition flange into place and that would mate the two systems together.
