You should just leave it stock....

yeah if the engine is stock then leave the tuning stock. vafc wont really do anything.
if its had mods then there is no single proven setting it all depends on what mods and the individual engine. but really a vafc still wont do much

as said above, if its a stock car then stock ecu is fine enough.

VAFC 2 controller are a wank factor. Ricey blue screens!!!

Even if someone passes on the settings for your car, it might not yield the results. Every car is different even if it's the same model...

Is it stock? Like everyone said, if it is.. don't bother with it :)

thanks guys, its not on there by choice its on there because the car was purchased like that, and due to a rpoblem in the loom is acting as a bandaid solution, so i thought well while its on there y not see if it can be played with.

if your in Melbourne, go see James at Hondata and get your car tuned !! call him on 0417 875 785 ! he is the most experienced Honda tuner for sure in Melbourne, if not Australia, whilst your there upgrade to a Hondata ECU

Vafc2 should be tuned to the merits of the system, ie proper tuning and not using someone elses tuned setttings.

jimmeh, no comment

search next time mate. depending on dyno, they generally pull out 95-105kw atw stock.

i did search and couldnt find what i wanted look at the start date of the thread

i thought that the stock b16a2's pulled out 95kw at the wheels, then what makes the b16b type r engine so special

not entirely confident since i'm a nissan bloke, but i'd assume like the type r teg engine that the cam specs, header design, head flow are different to name a few things... of course the pros are open to correct me :D

as for a VAFC of any sort, i used to hear ppl "changing vtec to 2000rpm" to make the car better!!! pfft, it'd be like me putting 300degree cams on a fairly stock non-vtec engine and there goes any torque/drivability. thats what vtec is for, you have your upper and lower cam profile for overall drivability, leave it if your engine is stock.

if you at least have came gears to allow you to dial in a desired power band (which should be done on dyno anyway), then by all means get a vtec controller to change vtec kick in points. but other than that, you can use it to fine tune your A/F at i think 12rpm points with partial throttle and WOT settings. <-- this would work wonders with a full I/H/E change!!
