It depends if there is a gap at the back. Because the bar is really only attached in the middle, so if there's a gap there you can tighten a screw to make it fit tighter.
But if there's no gap at the back, and its just the sides hanging a bit like in your pics then theres not really much you can do about it I dont think. . . .

oh geez. Hey dude was it ure fault?
If not, get a lawyer, cancel the insurance, get a re fund, get the car valued by insurance, then buy it, then get the car valued by an independant valuer and then claim it all back.
Then sell the parts!!

an insurance company is stupid, they work to save themselves money and they have no real vested interest in how much you get for your car. My insurance company valued my 96 vtir at $500 after a crash. This is how much i bought it for.
I got the independant assesor to value my car for me pre crash. As i was paying him he tried to get the most he could. He ended up deeming it worth $15,000, far above the $12,800 the insurance company deemed it worth pre crash. I also sold the wreck for $3700. $3200 up.
Plus since i wasnt at fault my lawyer claimed his fee + assesor fees + towing + $15000 for new car + transfer fee for new car.
If i were to leave this with insurance i wouldve been about 5k down at the end to what i was...will take alot longer to explain the entire process, if you are interested, let me know.

ErRrRrr... Norma you noob! :)
i see your trying to give advice??? lol
The reason why your bar has that much of a gap is because that piece of metal that runs inside the boot which consists of 4 bolts and lies within the black plastic sheet has not tightened enough to hold it up high. I was about to suggest tightening the bolts BUT i saw that second pic!. Anyways, feel sorry for that R... hope you get it fix soon.
