Hey,

I am after just plain chaser rims, same as black steely stock rims but in a plain steel. Same as in most comon police patrol cars.

If that makes at all sense.

Ive never seen them in a 4 type stud pattern?

Or is it possible to strip back the black paint off stock rims? Im guessing they will just rust...

Thing is I just want stock rims, but dont like hub caps or the black steelies and dont mind the chasers...

Anyone seen or can help?

Cheers

C) Rufes is correct. The chaser style wheels are all silver/alloy colour and are different to steelies. Call wreckers perhaps mate?

Rufes1, I'd just paint the stockies silver. Most 14's I've seen on other cars (Corolla's, Mazda 121's, Pulsars) have been black cause they have hubcaps on them from factory, and then the pleb 13's are silver due to having no hubcaps (This is a generalisation, there may be other cars with silver 14's)

I'd go wreckering. Just make sure that the rims are 4x100 and that the center hole (not sure of its name, hub thing?) is the same size, as it is that which supports the weight of the car.

Come to think of it, a mate had an old 318i with silver 14's which looked identical to chasers, had the round holes around the outside. We took them off and someone bought them for their Corolla (not sure if they ended up fitting), suss out if the beemer rims will fit.

EDIT: 'Chaser' or 'pursuit' rims are the wheels found on Commodore and Falcon police cars. They are 5 stud, and are 15". they differ in PCD. They are the same rims as put on the basic models, just painted silver, not black. The latest Commodore chasers are off the utes, as they are a bit wider and an easy way of checking if that car alongside you is undercover, not to mention the bigass screen and the lights on the dash which aren't all that hidden.

The civic SiR (EG6/9) came with 4 X 100 15" steelies, the EK9 also had the steel wheel option (but wrong pcd if you are chasing 4 X 100).

I can paint my steelies silver and you can have those, I don't need them anymore.

hmm I dont think ANY EG6/9's had 15" steelies.. they did have 15" alloys though.

the 90-something Accord EXi ( budget model ) has 15" steelies, though they are also black... I'm pretty sure they are 4x100.

will look cool with 15" steelies - but keep them black IMO..

Black just looks so bogan, and I dont really want a dodgy silver paint lol...

hrmm

15' would be good.

painting them would be difficult and come out crappy...

Ye u can get silver paint which is meant to be used on wheels, I used to use it on my Commy steelies when I cared about that car.
