my advice is to stay away from them. many Nissan drivers have had problems with them seizing and cracking.. i personally wouldnt risk it especially on such an important safety facet of the car!
to me i wouldnt buy them simply because theyre not proven products. they are cheap, thats why people buy em. save a little more and get a set of Tein superstreets.

the price of d2 coilovers are almost the same as tein, mayas well save a lil more and get tein products
yeah i dont know what to do, just found a cheap set of D2's and thought it was a good buy. are they really that bad???

not sure about ..
but theres a new name on the coilover market "G4"
Have had my D2s for over a year now and there going strong. I love em. But now days other "better" brands are so much cheaper that why wouldn't you get the better ones?
Id say stay away from d2 if you plan on doing serious trackwork. Otherwise there perfect for slammin your ride.

i believe D2 have been discontinued and this new G4 are the replacements.
the G4 are made of better material and is supposedly stronger, but are still made in Taiwan like the D2 leaving people wondering if these are just glorified D2s with different colouring schemes.
either way.. made in Taiwan.. nuff said!

yeah, well i wont be doing any serious track work at all, my car is just a cruiser and just really getting the coilovers so i can lower it a bit more than what it is now and i spose anything would be better than the stock suspension, the dude is only asking around $500 for a brand new set! i might look into it further, cheers for the advice guys!

and just because spoon is taiwanese made, makes it alright? hahaha
japanese product made by taiwanese standards for japanese specific cars?
$500 is a great price.. i think if youre not doing anything serious its a good investment. a set of struts like koni cost at least doublethan that... so yeh go for it!

D2 were made in Taiwan.. theyve had nothing but problems with them.. the recall on them was huge. for that, D2 have been discontinued. with the facts known, i know i definitely wouldnt be using any other Taiwanese made coilovers.

i got D2's... pretty sure the older models were recalled due to leaking of strut fluid! but recent built ones aren't a worry... they're still rebuildable though! i've tracked mine and they are fine yet they're the track model, and cop a flogging on roads! but like KB said, other brands in this range are coming out and are better for the same price!

a lot of things are made in taiwan now... from wat i know some cusco stuff are made in taiwan as well as GAB..... as long as the QC is good, wats the difference? something "made in japan" only means that only more that a certain percentage of the material (normally more than 50-60%) come from japan..... not 100%....
