how far advanced is your adj cam gear on SOHC ??
is there proven power gain from it ?
afaik an adjustable cam gear on a SOHC can only 'move' the power band NOT add power, but im not 100%.
i also higly doubt many ppl on here have adj. cam gears on their SOHCS :(

hey with adjustable cam gears does it need to be adjusted then dyno over and over again till u get the best settings?

Most of the SOHC i seen either go :
2-4 degrees neg for better top end, lower bottom end
or
2-4 degrees postive for better bottom end/mid and not so bad top end.
As far as i know, if u are only adding a "cam gear" to stock camshafts. yes it will only "move" the powerband up or down the rev range.
If you go down the path of different stage camshaft's with different lift/duration settings e.t.c , team that up with a cam gear and i think u will get power benifit's. Although most of the work a cam gear/camshaft are used for is more for "tuning" rather that straight out kw gain.
Tune all that property with a good ECU and u'll notice the difference alrite !
And DEFINATELY should be tuned propertly on a dyno !
