Body Damage

Hi, very new. I could really use some advice. I did a search and couldn't really find any info.

I am currently looking at 2 2000 model Type R Integras. Both have similar k's and both need a little work once bought.

Yellow - front bumper and drivers side front panel need to be replaced (does anyone have a rough idea as to cost?) Aside from that cosmetically the car looks pretty good. Am getting it mechanically checked this coming week. Has air-con.

Red - few road paint chips and roof needs respray (already got quote). Know mechanically is fantastic but lacks luxury of air-con and a Honda air-con is approx $2,500.

Yellow car is cheaper by almost $2000 but needs more work initially than red car. -Very- confused and any help would be massively appreciated!

personally i would buy the yellow one if the mechanical check comes back clean. air con is definately worth it and yellow is pretty rare. i dont know what the panel work will cost, but i doubt it would cost 4500 (taking into account aircon in the red one) and from what ive seen it mentioned before that red honda's seem to fad pretty bad.
i would have thought it would cost more than 2500 to put in aircon anyways.

That is pretty much what my friends are saying as well. I guess it's pretty daunting to think about the body work that needs to be done before the car can look decent. There are little bits and pieces that I want to do as well, like re-tint and fix the side panelling of the seats. Also the drivers door is out by a couple of mm. All these little things that add up to a lot. If all checks out mechanically I know long-term I would be better off with yellow, and it looks fantastic, it will just take me a month or so to get the car looking anywhere near good.

But yes, opinions or advice would be greatly appreciated! :)

One other thing, sorry. The guy selling the car has lowered it a little which he did himself. It seems a legit job...All these little things making me nervous.

Does anybody know what it takes to get a door re-aligned?

where about do you buy that? in Mel? did that one with a pre 96 DC2 front on it......look at the lights......they are different.....I reckon I know that guy......if you are buying in mel......lower his price....if that the one I am talking about.....that car have a full front crash b4.....if you got pic...show me.......<<DUN BUY IT IF THAT IS THE ONE I AM TALKING ABOUT>> if you need help let me know.....cheers...

front bumper assembly with lip from honda brand new will cost roughly 1k, guard are extremely expensive new, almost 700 dollar just for a guard

but then you can find them second hand, im just used to the prices insurance companies have to pay

that door and diy lowering job is starting to make it sound a bit dodge, how much is he asking.
