Best ever Civic?

Our family has had 4 Civic hatches and all have been completely reliable and great to drive and own.

1974 model: 1976-1980 - nothing at the time compared: amazingly well made, revvy, decent handling, cool dash. Hard to think 120Y was made around the same time..
1980 model: 1980-1988 - more refinement, more space, better ride but not the advance the first one was
1988 model: 1988- 1996 - amazingly quick but smooth as, fab interior and cutting edge exterior.
1996 model: 1996-1999 - not so exciting any more as competition more interesting.

My pick is the 1988 model 3-door. New model looks great though.

They're all good. In terms of looks, then I like the ED/EF hatch backs in JDM aggressive 'do-resu appu' (dress up)! hehe

EG is best once u mod the suckers.. then EG, EF rocks...

From the box u cant really go pass EK9 and EK4

ther was 2 lots of civc from 80 -88 they go from 80 -83 and 84-87
The 84-87 were the best civics ever.

Yeah I meant we had a 1988 Civic from 1988 to 1996 etc etc. They are all good, just some were really ahead of their time, others less so. The 84-87 range was a real advance - all body styles. I was thinking ADM :)

Civic has sort of defined the Honda range over the years for me.

Out of all Honda's I would choose

EM1 Civic Coupe (my personal fav) (under 20K)

Brand new Integra Type S (with mugen mods comes to 50K)

Mint condition S2000 (2nd hand but good as new comes to 60K on road)

Honda NSX Type R (brand new 250K, about 100K 2nd hand)

Just depends how much money and taste you have I guess

But yeah, wondering what you guys think in that kind of order.

EF9 takes the cake for silent subtle rockets. Styling is tops, got that retro appeal.
