hey guys i need to know what i can fit on an EF.

i know 100% that aftermarket EK9 front strut bars are interchangable on the EF chassis, as i've tried. but what else is compatible to the EK? hence meaning compatability with the EF chassis.

also DC2R rear strut bars fit the EF too. once again what else fits on the DC2R?

also i have no idea what sway bars can be fitted, does anyone know what sway bars (aftermarket or OEM) can be directly fitted onto the EF?

i'm pretty much asking not only because i'm bloody curious but also it's near impossible to find struts and sways for the EF at decent prices.

thanks in advanced.

You'r car is "unspecified" in your profile. Do you mean an EF or an ED?

I have a ED6 and I know DA front sway bars fit easily, coz I have done it. I beleive the rear DA sway bars fit, but dont know for sure.

I am about to try to fit a DC Integra rear sway bar, so I will let you know how it goes. But it seems like it should work.

worth mentioning what year... at least with the crx, the 88 uses a different rear suspension than the 89-91, even though it's the same chasis

saxman : thanks for pointing that out, i was generally talking about the civic. 89 model. btw EF civics have DC2R/EG6 rear lower control arms if that makes a difference.

ekslut : DA sway bars thicker than EF sways? don't suppose you have the size?

From memory I used a DA9 front swaybar and it was about 16mm I think. The stock swaybar on my ED6 was about 12mm or something like that.

We had to modify the bushes for the 'U' brackets to fit though. But I can't remember if we had to enlarge the hole in stock ED6 ones or took off some of the outside of the DA9 ones.

lets keep this thread going!

would CTR or ITR sways fit by any chance?

is there any way of telling if the sway bars will fit besides actually trying to mount it on?

ekslut: SuperPro make a urethane bush to suit the 16mm swaybar in an ED6 if you want to stiffen up the response...

i've seen gen2 CRX's with OE DC2R rear strut bars, does that mean EF/ED's can have pretty much anything interchangable for the DC2R?

btw, if rear strut bar fits on EG/DC will it fit on DC2R?

any rear strut bar for EG6, EK4, EG9, EF3, EF9, DC2, EF7, EF8, EG2 are interchangable.

anything interchangable for the above will be interchangable with everything else.
