... seen this video before but it still amazes me. also seems so much faster cause of the fact that the track is very closed in

i think I have seen it before as well, but i'm fairly sure it isn't an R8
- it doesn't look wide enough
- an R8 is a bit expensive for a hillclimb, even the euro hillclimbs.
- The instrument binnacle and cockpit is the wrong shape (an R8 has a wide open cockpit, sort of big enough for two people, but with about 2/3rds of it walled off where the driver sits).
Still damn fast though. i think its more likely to be a Radical.

Its definitely not a radical. All radical models have a broad open cockpit with a centrally mounted gauge cluster and mirrors mounted outboard on the front wings. They also don't have the gills on the front wings seen on the car in the video.
I believe it is actually this car,
http://www.vrchy.com/pictures/normam20.jpg
It's called a Norma M20 and is powered by a 3 litre, 400+ HP BMW racing engine... That's 400+ HP from a 3 litre NA straight six!

It's this, a Norma M20. Powered by a 3L BMW M Power engine.

That's the driver's website. Unfortunately it's in French, but the good pics are under "La Voiture"
Now I'm going to watch that video again :D
Brendan.
EDIT: Damn, took too long to write that reply...
