I wanna change my gear stick!

I have a EM1 which i just brought.

Can someone tell how to detach the stock gear nob from the gear boot. It seems like it stuck together.
I wanna get it off so I can put my momo gear stick that my girlfriend brought for me ages ago. She has been nagging the hell out of me cause I havent done it yet.

twist it off... just keep turning it until it comes off... failing that its probs got a grub screw holding it in somewhere.

yeah I tried that....the gear nob and gear boot just jept going around and around. Didnt help!

yeah..i had this problem too in my EM1...
it's really simple actually..
at the top of the boot and just below the gearknob there is a metal/aluminium section where they both seem to join. Just pull this down really hard. It is connected to the actual gearknob by some sort of clip and it just unclips when u pull it.
Then you can just twist off the gear knob....
don't bother doing it without taking off the clip...
just doesn't work...
