will a 7" wide rim with 205 tyre fit on a EJ with stock suspension?
and if i want to lower it, how much can i go for?

depends on wheels offset. you'll want somewhere between +40 and +45 offset. any less than 40 and the wheels will prob come out too far.

even if it doesnt rub with stock shocks to start with you wont be able to get away with it forever. eventually they'll die and rubbing will become more and more probable. plus ride quality will be crap.
but for plain old ride height its only the springs that matter so would be fine for the time being.

yeah stock shocks, i'll eventually upgrade to coilies but they've been ok for the past year, they are pretty crap over pot/man holes and in the rain, but meh...

As others have said - yes you should be fine, but it depends on if the car is lowered and the offset of the wheels.

a bit off topic...heard that using the set up like this will reduce the life of the stock shocks
but about how long or how far can this set up least for?

all depends on condition of shock to start with. and to what condition you're willing to let your shocks go. i continued to use my stock shocks after lowering with kings for abit under 6 months (cant really remember) before i got sick of them. they were by no means unusable but some adjustable KYB's saw huge improvement:thumbsup:
have since gone to coilovers:) however i will still back the quality and ride of the KYB's (AGX). great shocks and value to boot:cool:
