Is the L15A a non-interference or interference engine?

Friend of mine had an old clunk of a Merc V8 that had done close
to 500,000km. The cam chain adjuster had worn out causing a major hernia.

I suppose with regular oil changes and TLC for the unmodified Jazz,
the cam chain and tensioner should last 500,000km before replacement
is considered. My '84 Civic's done 430,000km and still going reasonably.
Regular servicing and parts replacement is the key.
