Hey guys,
just got a pioneer amp, hooked it all up with a sub, and the problem now is when a cd is tried to be played the amp light switches off and sub no longer works. but when radio is played its working fine. :confused:
any ideas?

you hooked up the remote wire from the amp to the antenna wire at back of the head unit.
there should be 2 blue wires at the back of the head unit (unless it's a pioneer), it should be the other blue wire that your supposed to hook up the remote wire too.
from the head unit. the antenna wire, sends out the signal only when the radio is on. when the radio is turned off, it doesn't send out a signal.
where as the remote wire will always send out a signal when it's on CD or radio unless the unit is off.

hey wouldnt it blow a fuse at the same time..

cant see why it would blow a fuse. both are 12v signals.
