what type of speaker did u install /??

did u use a spacer between the metal and the speaker...?

what do you mean by the sound is not good?? quality, vibration of door....

you might have swapped the wires so the +ve wire going to the -ve can make a difference

if all done properly check settings on head unit

Also, what sort of wiring?
Any sound deadining?
Grounded properly?
What sort of headunit?

There are lots of factors and we need some more information to help diagnose your problem. A picture or two also might help.

I did a tutorial not too long ago for the Pulsar forums. The Honda civic doors are a similar concept so I'll post it here as well. Please disregard the fact this is a pulsar.

Okay, eight step proceedure for doing a Pulsars doors correctly.

Step one: Take one original door complete with badly (i.e. one screw) secured speaker. Take plastic off and remove black goo.

Step two: Apply sound deadening to outer skin.

Step three: Add diffuser panels behind the speaker.

Step four: Run aftermarket speaker cables through modified door plug socket.
In this model we insert a 6mm hole where the plugs are not used. In the SSS where the cables are all used we simply use two separate 3mm holes either side of the main plug and ran the cables through there. We also prefer to buy the plugs in from Nissan to avoid damaging your factory ones.

Step five: Sound deaden inner skin and remove air bubbles. Seal spacer onto door with a gasket. Leave enough clearance for door handle and lock control rods to move freely. Also leave a little deadening around the top of the speaker hole to act as a 'roof' against water when it rains.

Step six: Solder the trimmed speaker wires onto speaker. Don't use crimp terminals because their two best traits are falling off and creating resistance.

Step seven: Heat shrink around the terminals to protect them. Unlike electrical tape, heat shrink will not begin moving after a couple of months.

Step eight: Screw speaker onto spacer making sure you seal around the speakers in order to keep the bass strong. For both the baffle gasket and the speaker gasket we simply use 3mm foam you can readily get from Jaycar.

There ya have it, one Pulsar door done, Fhrx style. :D:D

The Civic and Integra doors are done in a similar way. Hope that helps. :)
