Im looking at building a sound system for my civic. I am trying to find some decent websites that i can purchase gear off, but havent been able to find anything decent.

Looking at brands such as Digital Designs and MB Quart etc...

Have a look at www.caraudioaustralia.com.au

Really great forum when it comes to audio gear, not just car audio but home theatres and all. I've learnt a lot from those forums.

They've also got online database of various shops and suppliers, last time i looked through there were a bunch of online ones as well so take a look.

Where abouts in Queensland u located?

Maybe we can recommend some actual shops to check out.

Not a huge fan of shopping online, unless you can get into a store to audition the gear you are after, then go to the online store and buy it from there.

Just be careful of when you purchase of ebay.
There are two things you should be sure about be you buy.

Firstly the warranty, a lot of the time the goods will be an overseas model and might not be covered by an aussie warranty, so if something goes wrong it has to be shipped overseas to get fixed under warranty.

Overseas products can sometimes be different to the Aus sold products even if they're the same product.

Be vary cautious of fakes on ebay, the imitations they have out there look very similar to the genuine items. Some fakes are really obvious but the really good ones are hard to tell unless you take a close look at them.

Mostly look at the feedback. Don't buy from individuals, they have nothing to loose. Buy from someone with 99% or better and has 1k+ feedback with maybe 1 or 2 neg/neutral feedbacks left in the last 30 days.
