I have had dramas buying a HID kit from ebay.

Better of buying them from a proper shop at least you have proper warranty.

Better of going into your local auto shop.

Was some no name brand they lit up good but had shit missing for them to do the conversion (H4).

Its good to get a HID kit with high and low beam.

well... i've purchased 2 set of HID kits off ebay and i must said i was fortunate that i received both of them very quick and safe...
IMO there's nothing wrong of buying things off ebay but you have to look carefully of the sellers feedback and number of items sold...
i also purchased a set of HID replacement bulbs which came with 10 months warrenty and one of them burnt out like 5 months after pruchase so i sent them back ask for replacement and they did!!
note both of the kits i bought were called Techone.. they are assembled in China but i must say they are just like the europeans one..

That's why i never buy china made HID, cheap price, but the quality is not as good as JPese one. but it all depends on how much you are willing to spend. lol

well, i dun think 06 civic use H4 bulbs

true that. My HID kit has few missing wires needed to do the conversion and after three months i needed a new balist.

I have a BOSCH one at the moment pritty happy with that swapped it for a case of beer :P

but sometimes it flickers really fast anyone know why HIDS do this?

a bit off topic.. but does the replacement bulbs for aftermarket hid kits need to be the same brand as the kit?

Someone said if the replace bulbs got same spec with the dead bulbs, then you can use it

but still prefer you getting the same brand replacement bulbs

as for the aftermarket HID bulb replacement... you dun have to go with the same brand... all the after market HIDs have this universal plug design with two plug-heads..

and lov... both of the Chinese HIDs are fine up to date... the burnt out bulbs were i pruchased in higher K-ratings from ebay motor from US...

but yeah they are illegal... so if u really want to have one... i suggest nothing over 7000k...
