An extention of the Redline oil thread.

What oils do you guys use. Tranny and motor.

Post up what you use and why you think its the better stuff (obviously since you've ruled out other crap) Also what brands to stear clear of.

I've just started using Motul and while I wasted the first 300mls of it by leaving the oil cap off the next top up and the engine seems to run nice and smooth nice when its cold too. But i spose people have a better reason to use it :P

Everyone will differ, everyone will have their reasons.

I use Honda oils for my engine, tranny and power steering.

Why? I've been told to by a couple of mechanics who specialise in Hondas and so I do it. It makes sense to me that Honda would go to the effort to make oils which compliment their cars.

No problems so far; 190,000k's and going hard!

Mobil 1 5W50 Haven't really 'tried' much else as that's what has been recommended to me.
