Help with sub/amp

Hey guys..

I purchased a 12" Boss Sub (in box) and 4 Channel Boss Amp along with some *apparently* really good quality cables for it this afternoon for $150.

I just want to know a) Whether this is a good price for the item and b) If anyone is able to help me install it in Sydney.. Im a noob when it comes to Car audio and thus far ive payed for my headunit and front splits to be installed.. Id rather not pay for the amp/sub to be installed..

boss isn't the best brand out there..
nor is it part of the average quality brands..

but you probably got a good deal for what you payed for..

my amp cost me 799 and sub cost cost 499 calbes cost 179... so 150 for the lot.. u will get what u pay for..

my sub cost 1800 amp cost 700 or so u get for what you pay for

Well my amp cost me $1500 sub cost $400 Cables close to $600. so yeah for a first go it should serve what you need untill u want bigger and better stuff.

yes you sertainly do get what you pay for.
i'm not putting you down, but put too much power through the amp and it will start cutting out, had a boss 4 ch 1000watts apparently, running 2 old school pioneer subs and it was cutting out like crazy. the subs, countless i've blown to easily, pushin it. lol.

yea i got the same 1000watt amps lol i got 2 though each one pushing a 12" no cut outs for me which is good but thats 1000watt max power we are realli looki at about 150-200 rms of boss power nothing huge but does sound sorta decant with my setup but willbe upgradig soon wif new car etc etc ;)
