Hey everyone! Just writing up a review on my Buddy Club Spec III cat back exhaust I got for my EK1 sedan. Now I’ll worn you guys, the exhaust I got is for a coupe for they don’t come for a sedan, but coupes and sedans have pretty much the same system. But it needed some slight modifications. Like extending the cat piping for it was about 160mm short of the cat when I installed the system, and the removal of the metal heat shield that’s near your fuel tank. But that’s only if you plan on putting it on yourself! Otherwise take it to your exhaust guy to put it on! Just extend the piping on your cat and remove the shield and it should be good to go.
Anyhow, I’ll get onto the review now! Straight out I will say it is a ****ing awesome exhaust system! More torque is noticed in mid to low rev range and has the best note! And that’s coming from a d16y4! I’m sure it would sound even better out of a b series or k series engine! And when you have the g/f in the car, can just chuck the silencer in and it still has the great note with half the noise.
The whole system itself only weighed about 4-5kg! As opposed to my old cheap exhaust that weighed about 15kg! Its been very professionally made with perfect 60mm dia. mandrel bent stainless steel piping and welds, and makes it easy to handle by coming in 3 pieces that just bolted together via flanges with gaskets. And when you think that’s not enough, take a look at the muffler tip! Looks tough as!

Overall I give this system a high rating for it had made a big difference to my car look, sound and power wise. It may cost the bit extra than other exhausts, but is well worth it! This kind of system will get you laid!
Only negatives are that on my car is the resonator hangs down an extra inch or so from my last exhaust, but that just may be from the exhaust being for a coupe. I’m sure it would be a better fit for the car it was built for.
I’d like to thank Trav (egSi) for get this for me in like 2 days! And helping me with the research to find out if it would fit my car! I absolutely love it!
