Most of you guys seem to talk Euro. Are there any V6 owners out there. In particular i'm interseted in opinions comparing the V6 with the Euro. I've read that the V6 is a bit soggy in the suspension department but then the Liberty is soft compared to the taughter and sharper Euro. I like the performance of the V6 on paper. 6 cylinder Lib is too pricey anyway.

Can you mod the V6 to improve chassis? Anyone done it - upgraded dampers and springs etc?

Ta muchly.

I havent drove the V6, but I just got my Euro today so I can give you a first impression.

I dunno how honda did it, but this thing handles so well its not funny - it blows away my Civic Si's handling (which is lowered). The cornering is so sharp and precise that you think you are driving a wrx (actually the Wheels article mentions its vitrually just as good as a rexy in terms of G-Force handling).

I really cant see how the V6 can compete with that, even with suspention mods (unless someone here can prove me wrong ;)). The thing is it wasnt designed from the ground up to be a great handler.

The performance between the V6 and the Euro Manual is about the same.
V6 does 0-100 in 7.5, Euro does it in 7.8 (lux) and probably a bit quicker with the base model because its lighter and has smaller wheels. And damn that 2.4 iVTEC engine is sweet! The gearbox is amazing too

If you want a quick auto, get the V6. If you want a sporty manual with near-wrx handling, get the Euro :)

eurodude congrats on the purchase
now let the modding begin!!! :D

if you think it corners well now, wait till u add a rear sway bar, lower arm bar and a front strut brace with some coilovers or shock/spring upgrade (e.g koni yellow + eibach prokits)
then u'll really feel like its corning like its on rails. i have tein flex coilovers with lower arm bar and just a front strut (comptech RSB on its way soon) and i got 20" chromes on my car and it corners beautifully. no bodyroll watsoever (i dont gun it around corners mind it. stupid to do that with 20" anchors :D )

thats not to say that the V6 accord isnt good. i test drove this as well when lookin for a car last year. the V6 accord has lots of grunt i can tell ya. 3.0L v6 with 180 somethin kw at the fly is no snail. to me, the v6 acc was more of a luxury cruiser full stop. I know that I personally get bitten by the rush of wanting to floor my car and taking it up to redline with VTEC screamin in the background but to do that with a 3.0L i think u'd need a fair few $$$ considering petrol prices these days arent letting up.

i'd say that personally i felt the V6 to have more oomph but it was so quiet i couldnt really feel anything. the euro i feel is a combination of both luxury and free spirited driving.

Suspension on the v6 for me, i coundt really tell if it was soggy or not cuz i was just driving as per normal. performance on paper, v6 for the win. impressive figures, sure. but for better mileage for the same amt of comfort + fun, i'd get the euro (this may seem obviously biased but i did own a toyota avalon v6 3.0L and that wasnt too good on my wallet with my then budget.)

You really have to test drive both of them to understand which one you're most suited to. Hope this helps in some way or another and happy car hunting!

EDIT - error in spelling + added few more info
